About this event

Join us for a special holiday Jiu-Jitsu camp in Byron Bay, featuring three world-class black belts who are widely recognized for their skill, accomplishments, and impact on the sport. This camp offers students of all levels the chance to learn directly from elite competitors in a focused, supportive, and high-energy environment.

Participants will develop sharper technique, improve movement and strategy, and gain insight into the championship mindset that drives success at the highest level.

Thalison Soares
Renowned for his exceptional technical precision and dominance in the lighter weight divisions, Thalison is one of the most respected modern competitors. A world champion with a detail-oriented teaching style, he specializes in guard work, transitions, and efficient, high-percentage movement.

Roberto Jimenez
Roberto “Rafa” Jimenez is one of the most exciting and accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes of his generation. A multiple-time IBJJF World Champion, Roberto is known for his dynamic guard, relentless pace, and creative attacking style that has made him a standout on the world stage.

Fabricio Andrey
Widely recognized for his fast, technical, and versatile game, Fabricio Andrey is a highly decorated athlete with a strong presence on the world stage. His instruction combines athleticism, sharp positional understanding, and an engaging teaching method that resonates with practitioners of every level.

This holiday camp is designed to elevate both fundamentals and advanced skills, providing a rare opportunity to learn from three of the most talented black belts in the sport.

FRIDAY 27TH OF FEBRUARY

Session 01: 6pm to 8pm No-Gi with all coaches

 

SATURDAY 28TH OF FEBRUARY

Session 02: 9:00am to 10:30am with Thalison Gi

Session 03: 10:30am to 11:30am Sparring (optional)

Session 04: 3pm to 4:30pm with Roberto No-Gi

Session 05: 4:30pm to 6pm with Fabricio Gi

Session 06: 6pm to 7pm Sparring (optional)

 

SUNDAY 1ST OF MARCH

Session 07: 9am to 11am Gi seminar with all coaches

Session 08: 11am Q&A

5pm: Social gathering at The Pass Beach, Byron Bay (BYO surfboard and beach games)

1.⁠ ⁠Who can join the camp?

This camp is open to everyone. It’s an adults-only camp, welcoming practitioners from all academies, all levels, and all belt levels. Whether you are: • A complete beginner • A recreational/lifestyle practitioner • Or an experienced athlete You will find value in this camp. We will structure the sessions so everyone can learn, progress, and enjoy the experience.

2.⁠ ⁠What ages can participate?

Participants must be 16 years old or above. This camp is not for young kids. It is designed for teens and adults who can safely participate in structured training sessions.

3.⁠ ⁠What level is this camp for?

This is a technical holiday camp, not a competition-style camp. • Focus on learning, drilling, and understanding • Rolling will be available, but it is not competition intensity • Perfect for lifestyle practitioners who want to train, learn, and enjoy the experience That said, there will still be high-level training partners available for those who want to challenge themselves.

4. What will I learn?

This is a Gi & No-Gi camp, covering a wide range of topics, including: •⁠ ⁠take downs fundamentals • Guard passing fundamentals • Guard attacks and combinations • Positional understanding • Transitions and problem-solving • Mindset and approach to training • Competition strategy concepts (even for non-competitors) The focus is on long-term development, not just techniques.

5. Is this camp suitable for beginners?

Yes, absolutely. This camp is beginner-friendly and focused on fundamentals and technical understanding. If you are new to Jiu-Jitsu or want to build strong foundations, this camp is a great choice. Advanced students will also benefit from: • High-level details • Conceptual learning • Training with experienced partners

6. What should I bring?

Please bring: • Gi (white gi only) • No-Gi gear (rashguard, shorts & leggings ) • Water bottle • Mouthguard (optional but recommended) • Good energy and a positive attitude

7. Is the camp refundable?

Yes, the camp is refundable. • You can request a full refund or choose to receive credit for a future event • Please notify us at least 7 days before the camp starts • This allows us to offer your spot to someone on the waiting list

8. What if spots sell out?

If the camp sells out, you can apply for the waiting list. • If a spot becomes available, we will contact you directly • You will then have the opportunity to complete your registration

9. Who is leading the camp?

The camp will be led by world-class instructors: • Fabrício Andrey • Roberto Jimenez • Thalison Soares You’ll be learning directly from some of the best athletes in the world today, with guidance focused on both performance and longevity in the sport.

10. What rules is it based on?

11. Is accommodation included in the camp?
